Beef Head Tacos

Do you want to make some beef head tacos in a quick way? In this recipe you will find how to perform them in 4 simple steps.

  • 1 beef tongue.
  • 2 eyes res.
  • ½ kg beef cheek.
  • ½ kg of beef brains.
  • ½ kg of beef lips.
  • 8 peeled garlic cloves.
  • 1½ large onion.
  • 8 bay leaves.
  • 4 cloves.
  • 10 black peppercorns.
  • 4 serrano peppers.
  • 3 tablespoons.
  • 5 coriander branches.
  • Lemon slices.
  • Green sauce. (optional).
  • 12 tortillas.


  • We wash the parts of the beef head well, place them in a large pot, cover with water and add the ½ onion, garlic, bay leaf, cloves, pepper, chili peppers and salt. Cover and let cook over medium heat for 3 hours.
  • Cut the remaining onion finely like the cilantro and reserve.
  • Cook all the meat, drain the water, put it on a board and cut it finely and mix it.
  • Heat the tortillas, add head meat, onion, cilantro, lemon juice and if it is our taste a little spicy green sauce. You’ll love it.


If necessary, add a little more water to the pot during cooking.

If you want to have a slightly more intense flavor, you can cook a whole beef head, but its cooking will increase to about 7 or 8 hours.
