Then you’ve come to the right place because today we will show you how to prepare in a very exquisite way some popular maguey worms, so you can get out of the culinary routine and fill some tacos that will amaze your palate with the texture and flavor offered by this delicious food.   • 4 peeled garlic cloves
  • ¼ large onion
  • 1 branch of epazote
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 300 grams of maguey worms
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • 2 dried chiles de árbol
  • 4 corn tortillas


  1. Finely chop the garlic cloves, the onion and the epazote branch.
  2. In a hot frying pan, add the butter and when it melts, add the vegetables you have just cut to fry for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the maguey worms to the pan, add the lime juice, the previously chopped chiles de arbol, salt and pepper to taste and cook for 5 minutes while stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  4. Heat the tortillas in a comal or other frying pan, fill each one with the desired amount of maguey worms with vegetables and enjoy this culinary delicacy.


  1. You can accompany these delicious tacos with a spicy red sauce, a traditional green sauce or a delicious guacamole.
  2. If you want more freshness in the dish, add some fresh cilantro when serving.
