Shredded beef tacos

Here is a rich and easy recipe for shredding tacos, ideal for a healthy lunch or dinner.

  • 1½ kg of beef skirt.
  • ½ onion.
  • 4 peeled garlic cloves.
  • 4 jalapeno peppers.
  • 2 cloves.
  • 2 bay leaves.
  • 6 peppers.
  • 1 tablespoon of salt.
  • 1 purple onion.
  • 2 radishes.
  • 1 cucumber.
  • ½ cup chopped cilantro.
  • 12 corn tortillas.
  • Sauce of our liking. (optional).
  • Sliced lemon as you prefer.


  • We start by cutting the meat in mid pieces, add it to a large pot with enough water.
  • Add the ½ onion, garlic, chilies, cloves, bay leaf, pepper and salt, cover the pot and bring it over high heat for 2 hours.
  • Cut the onion, radishes and cucumber into slices and reserve.
  • Once the meat is cooked, we take it out of the pot, let it rest for 15 minutes in a bowl and we break it.
  • Heat the tortillas, fill them with shredded meat, onion, cucumber, radish, cilantro, we put the sauce of our choice and lemon juice to taste.


If we have an express pot, we cook the meat for 30 minutes once the valve starts chopping.

We can taste these tacos with a rich guacamole or a spicy green sauce.
